Have you heard about Pizza Hut’s new pastas? We tried them out last night and guess what? They’re really good! I was totally prepared to be disappointed. I was all ready for watery sauce and rubbery pasta, but nope - they were yummy and delicious. Lookie, I even took a picture:
The pasta comes in two varieties, Meaty Marinara and Creamy Chicken Alfredo. We ordered one of each, because I wasn’t sure how much we would need to feed seven of us. I was pleased to see that both pastas were full of meat, and both had a generous layer of melted cheese on top. The marinara actually had sort of a lasagna taste to it, because of all the meat and cheese. It was super! The crowd favorite, though, was the chicken alfredo. The sauce was really good, and there was lots and lots of chicken. Kayley said the chicken was a little dry, but don’t listen to her. She doesn’t even like chicken. It was fine. And! Each order of pasta comes with an order of five breadsticks. They were really good, too - everyone was fighting over them.
And I’m really surprised by the price - it’s just $11.99 per order, which includes the breadsticks. We needed two orders, but only because we’re a bunch of pigs and there are just so dang many of us around the table. A normal family could easily order just one tray. Pretty reasonably priced meal that mama doesn’t have to cook. My twin club delivers meals to new moms after they have their babies, and the next time I’m scheduled to bring a meal to someone, I’m going to save myself a whole bunch of time and driving and send over some pasta.
You want some, don’t you? I know you do! I’m giving away a coupon for a free pasta dinner for four. Want a free dinner from Pizza Hut and LaLaGirl? Leave a comment on this entry and I’ll randomly pick someone in a few days.

Um, why wasn’t I invited over for dinner?
I actually hadn’t heard of it before, otherwise we so would’ve ordered some this past weekend when we ordered from a competitor. We have major noodle and carb addicts in the house. We’ll have to give it a try.

Wow! Those do look pretty tasty! The chicken Alfa-arado (sheldyn talk) one sounds yummy! How come I haven’t seen a commercial about this??? That’s a totally awesome deal, and is cheaper then cooking dinner! We’re going to have to check these out!

They look yummy! They would be great for a party- and way less expensive than the local Italian restaurant!

I was also wondering if the pasta from Pizza Hut was any good. I may have to order some now after your review. It would make an easy dinner now that I’m at the last 2 weeks of working as a kindergarten assistant teacher. I’m too tired to want to cook anything in the evenings when I get home.

I am so glad you did a review. I was actually contemplating ordering the alfredo last night but ‘chickened’ out and got just pizza instead. (No pun intended - LOL) I think I will give it a try after your review.

I’ll have to try the alfredo one and see what I think of it. I had the marinara one a few weeks ago, and just didn’t enjoy it that much. You are right though - it isn’t wimpy pasta - there’s lots of meat and cheese. My problem is I like pasta with a little bit of sauce, so the fact that it was SO saucy was kind of a downer for me. That and it had a really strong fennel taste, which I’m not wild about.

Oh yum! I figured this would be really gross so I was afraid to try it, but your review has given me some courage. I will definitely add this to the meal idea list I am making DH for after I have the baby. Last thing I would want is a nasty meal with post partum raging hormones!
