My folks were over yesterday along with Paul’s parents and we grilled some steaks. It was sunny but not hot, breezy but not windy, and I had a glorious day. I love spending time with my family!
Whenever we get together like this, my dad, Paul’s stepmother, and I always polish off a bottle or two of wine. He brought over this new one we hadn’t tried before – it’s called Big Ass Zin, and it was actually REALLY super good. And check out that cute label! I love it.

Have you heard about the new movie all the little girls are talking about? The movie is called Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. Exclusive engagements began yesterday, June 20th, and the film premiers in theaters everywhere on July 2nd. In the movie, Breslin plays a young girl growing up in her parents’ boarding house during the Great Depression. The film, which is based on the popular American Girl doll line, also stars Julia Ormond, Joan Cusack, Stanley Tucci and Jane Krakowski.
