I think they’re so rad! Probably not what I’d order for my mom, but hey – you can send a bouquet of these to me any old day. They make me want to eat Skittles.
The highly colourful flowers have been developed by a Dutch businessman who dyes each bloom in the colours of the rainbow. The dyes are produced from natural plant extracts and are absorbed by the flowers as they grow. A special process then controls how much colour reaches each petal – with spectacular results.
I’d never heard of these until today, when a friend of mine mentioned trying to track them down for her mom. The place she found them wanted $14 a stem! ::chokes:: I still think they’re awesome.

I recently purchased some of the rainbow roses for my sister’s
birthday, from a cute flower shop called Its a Blooming Business located in the Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks, California, I bought them locally, but they will ship one dozen or more out of state as well.
